Enhanced Assessment Grants
Grants for Enhanced Assessment Instruments (CFDA 84.368) are discretionary grants
awarded by the U.S. Department of Education to state education agencies (SEAs) or
consortia of SEAs.
The objectives of this program are to:
- improve the quality, validity, and reliability of state academic assessments;
- measure student academic achievement using multiple measures of student academic
achievement from multiple sources;
- chart student progress over time; and
- evaluate student academic achievement through the development of comprehensive academic
assessment instruments, such as performance and technology-based academic assessments.
